Florida Hospital Tampa Hires Surgical Services Assistant Vice President
Whitman Partners placed Don Galloway as the Surgical Services Assistant Vice President at Florida Hospital Tampa. The position, based in Tampa, Florida, reports to the COO. Previously, Mr. Galloway worked at University Medical Center Southern Nevada in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the Associate Chief Nursing Officer. In that position, he assisted in increasing the overall volume by 28% in three years. Additionally, he saved the surgical department over $1 million in product.
Mr. Galloway earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio, in 2006. That began his nursing career, starting with working his way up the ranks at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. In 2014, he earned his Master of Business Administration, also at Ursuline College. Shortly thereafter, he began his first Director of Surgical Services position.
