Fredericksburg Ambulatory Surgery Center Hires New Director
Whitman Partners placed James Riggs as the Director of Fredericksburg Ambulatory Surgery Center. The position, based in Fredericksburg, Maryland, covers six operating rooms. Previously, Mr. Riggs worked at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in Fairfax, Virginia, as the Clinical Director ASC, Tower OR Clinical Director, and Interim Director of Preop/PACU.
Mr. Riggs first came to nursing through his ADN degree from Reynolds Community College in Richmond, Virginia. He spent several years working as an OR nurse. After taking a break to return to school to study religion and attend seminary, he then resumed his work in the field. Eventually, he earned his BSN, and is currently pursing his MBA at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.

The facility is free-standing, but connected by a bridge to Mary Washington Hospital.
