North Shore Medical Center Salem Hospital hires new Executive Director of Surgery, Anesthesia, & Perioperative Services
Whitman Partners recently placed Mary Samost as the new Executive Director of Surgery, Anesthesia, and Perioperative Services at NSMC Salem Hospital. The position, based in Salem, Massachusetts, oversees 16 OR suites. Previously, Dr. Samost worked in multiple roles at Hallmark Health System/Melrose Wakefield Healthcare in Medford, Massachusetts.
Dr. Samost brings over 15 years of nursing leadership experience from management to executive level. Her experience includes work in nursing quality improvement, patient safety, professional development, and alignment of university partnerships in medical center, academic, and corporate environments. She excels at using a collaborative, facilitative management style, resulting in selecting and mentoring high-performing teams. Her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree was completed at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.
