New Operating Room Unit Director placement at Ochsner Medical Center
Congratulations to Chuck Dawson on his new role as Operating Room Unit Director at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, LA.
In his previous position, Chuck Dawson was the Interim Director of Surgical Services for Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, FL. There, he had oversight of 18 ORs, two CVORs, and a cysto suite on the main campus. Before that, he filled the interim director role at Queen’s Medical Center in Oahu, HI. Hired to address a dysfunctional work environment, he successfully re-established staff trust by using a dynamic leadership style to improve morale. Despite COVID surges, Dawson was able to break case volume records throughout his tenure at Queen’s.
