Leigh Orthopedic Surgery Center Hires New Administrator
Whitman Partners placed Maureen Hartley as the administrator at Leigh Orthopedic Surgery Center. The position, based in Norfolk, Virginia, oversees two OR suites and one procedure room. Ms. Hartley, a seasoned ASC administrator with experience in development of new facilities, is excited to help get this new ASC off the ground as well. The facility is slated to open in March of 2020.
Most recently, Ms. Hartley served as the administrator at Greenspring Surgery Center in Columbia, Maryland. There, she led the one OR, two procedure room center through establishing, developing, planning, and organizing the operations, procedures, and functions of the facility.
Ms. Hartley earned her MS in financial management from Johns Hopkins University, and her BS in business administration from Frostburg State University. In addition to her business background, she also has an AAS in nursing.

Leigh Orthopedic Surgery Center is a brand new single specialty orthopedic surgery center set to open in March 2020. The facility is a joint venture between Sentara Healthcare and two local orthopedic groups of physician owners.
Sentara is a not-for-profit health system located in Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. The system has six regional locations across the two states to serve the community. The new surgery center will only perform orthopedic and total joint procedures, delivering high quality, safe patient care in an ambulatory surgery environment.
