Meet Caitlin Starmer
Caitlin joined Whitman Partners in 2021 as an Information Technology Specialist for the IT Department.
Born and raised in Bend, Oregon, home of the last Blockbuster on Earth, Caitlin is a self-taught information technologist. She began working for Apple, Inc., first as a phone advisor, eventually working her way up to Service Manager. Fluent in Apple Software, she is certified to take apart and repair all their products in an authorized environment. Her most recent position was in Nike’s IT Department at their World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.
Caitlin has supported herself independently since she was 15, making it a challenge to simultaneously attend college and make a living. But she plans to earn a degree in social work, with a minor in computer science.
In her free time, Caitlin loves playing guitar and doing art, both physically and digitally. When she gets her hands on any material under the sun—be it clay, wood, or foam—she’ll transform them into beautiful works of art.
Fun Facts
- I have a cargo van that I began converting into a camping/living space on my own.
- I’ve only been on a plane twice, both times to Kansas.
- I learned (or am currently learning) how to roller-skate (it’s harder than it looks).
- I’ve never been stung by a bee and at this point, I think they have an allergy to me.
