Griffin Hospital Receives Surgical Services Grant
Griffin Hospital in Derby, Connecticut, received a $5,000 grant to assist with an in-process surgical services expansion. PerkinElmer Foundation, the organization behind the grant, funds projects that are health and environmental in nature.
The surgical services department at Griffin Hospital underwent several changes already, as a part of this multi-phase project. Starting in 2017, they constructed a new ambulatory surgery suite. Currently, they are adding an additional operating room. The grant funds will be used to improve their robotic surgery program.
