Dawn McGowan is a seasoned healthcare leader with over 30 years of experience across the Navy Medical Service Corp, Hospital Corps, and the civilian healthcare sector. She has a diverse background in healthcare administration, surgical technology, and direct patient care, which has made her a highly respected leader in the industry.
Throughout her career, Dawn has expertly led surgical departments, ensuring regulatory compliance, adding new services, and mentoring staff to achieve excellence. Her leadership has consistently improved patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Dawn’s extensive experience spans roles as a Surgical Technologist, OR Circulator, and Scrub RN, as well as various leadership positions in both military and private healthcare settings.
Dawn holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Brandman University, a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Healthcare Administration from Old Dominion University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma.
In her new role at Havasu Regional Medical Center, Dawn will bring her wealth of experience, leadership skills, and passion for healthcare excellence to drive improvements in surgical services, ensuring high-quality patient care and streamlined operations.
