UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital Hires New Director of Surgical and Anesthesia Services

Whitman Partners placed Jessica Johnson as Director of Surgical and Anesthesia Services at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital. The position will be based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Ms. Johnson was previously the Director of Perioperative Services at Methodist Texsan Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. In that position, she brought the overall physician satisfaction for surgical services from the 4th to the 75 percentile over two years. Additionally, she reduced the RN turnover from 40% to 0% in one year.

Ms. Johnson also has a proud military background as a captain in the US Air Force. She has strong educational qualifications as well, having several degrees. Most recently, she earned her Executive Master of Health Care Administration from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Brian Ulasewicz, Client Partner at Whitman Partners, conducted the search. Brian shares military experience as well; he was a captain in the US Army. He has been an integral part of Whitman Partners since 2013.
