New Placement – Rita Van Allen, Perioperative Director, Pediatric Operating Rooms
Congratulations to Rita Van Allen who is the new placement at UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay in San Francisco, California as their new Perioperative Director-Pediatric Operating Rooms.
Previously, Rita Van Allen was the Pre-Op/Post-Op/PAT/PACU Nurse Manager at Mills Peninsula Medical Center. She was also responsible for assisting with OR Manager responsibilities when needed and providing ongoing mentorship to the Nurse Manager at an affiliated ASC. Before this, she was the OR Improvement and Assistant Unit Manager – Surgical Services at Memorial Care Miller Children’s Women’s Hospital, Long beach. Rita uses business and nursing skills to navigate the complex systems of the healthcare market and is a team player who collaborates with surgeons, vendors, and staff.
